The location of planet earth is unique in the Solar System. Our present understanding of the universe is that everything is quantised energy. Matter is nothing but energy packed in small area. The rationalistic human consciousness seems to be a unique outcome of the planet earth's positioning in the solar system. The following lines give only an indication of the glory of our mother earth. Are we going to loose this opportunity of peopling this planet by our foolishness and lack of knowledge about the purpose of life? By outer appearance, this creation appears to be crude, unsystematic and purposeless. But those who examine and study deeply know that there is a well planned kingdom full of beauty and elegance everywhere.

Those units which appear to be crude and purposeless have also their own importance and utility. By seeing an ocean it may appear that it has unnecessarily occupied a vast portion of the earth. But those, conversant in the science of ecology know that, but for the ocean, nature's contribution in the form of rains, seasons etc. would not have been available. Whatever is there in the colossal universe is useful. There is a fantastic sequence and harmony in these units. It appears whosoever has created this universe must have done it with considerable prudence. One is amazed to see the queer performance and organising skill of the artist who has created this universe and established harmonious relationships between different units.
There is a system which nourishes a child in mother's womb. After birth everything gets changed but a different favorable environment, almost pre-planned is found. The body has different sense organs and systems which prove that there is a need of them. The body possesses two small eyes. To make these eyes useful there is a brilliant Sun millions of miles away and far beyond the sun are small twinkling stars. The eyes see the light coming from these stars. Eyes would have been futile, it light did not exist. By themselves alone, these eyes could not have seen anything. Ears in the left and right side, could hear because the phenomenon of sound is already in existence. It appears that the power which has been given us ears has created the phenomenon of sound in sound producing sources. He who has given tongue for enjoying taste has created juice, flavor and taste in fruits, vegetables and food grains. This also applies to nose, the organ used for smelling. Smell in flowers, has been created for the pleasure of nose. It appears from a perusal of this marvelous harmony that He who has been creating sense organs for the fetus in the utter darkness of a mother's womb, must definitely be a skilful creator of universe, who can perceive the supreme truth and who has full knowledge of the outer and inner worlds. He is not only concerned with shaping of the sense organs but their well defined purpose is also clear to him.

The circumstances prevailing on the earth give evidence of the creator's well-defined purpose and systematic organization. On seeing them, it appears that all facilities have been created by some omnipotent power for fulfillment of life. The principle enunciated by scientists does not appear to be logical that the earth in the beginning of the creation was a globe of fire. Which in course of time after passing through several changes, by itself became capable of sustaining its life. The various stages through which the earth has evolved to become capable of sustaining life are so well planned that they cannot be regarded as accidental or casual. The earth revolves constantly on its axis at a definite speed which forms day and night one after another. It rotates around the sun too at a differet speed. Galileo and Bruno had discovered these speeds but the famous astrologer Aryabhat of India had described both these speeds several centuries before in the matra - Ayam Gauh Prashnir Krameedasadanmattar purh. The stability in the movement of the earth is on account of both these speeds. It is tilted by 13 degrees while revolving on its polar axis and this is the reason for cyclic regularity of seasons. It is worth mentioning that, if these specialties of speed and tilt had not been there, various kinds of vegetation would not have been in existence on the earth. The stability of the earth would have given birth to inertia and it would not have appeared beautiful, rich in vegetation and greenery. A slight variation in the tilt of the earth can cause havoc.

The layers of gases associated with the atmosphere contribute much to the creation of life bearing conditions. According to astronomers about 200 million meteors fall daily at the speed of thirty miles per second. Their speed and terrific energy are sufficient for the devastation of the earth. Besides this, the sun and other meteors emanate deadly rays also along with life rearing elements. Sixteen hundred kilometers thick gas layers protect the earth from their harmful effects. Different layers like troposphere, stratosphere, mesosphere, thermosphere, and ionosphere play the role of protective shield. The useful part of the violent heat of the sun comes duly filtered through these layers for the living beings of the earth. These layers play an important role in vaporising the vast water accumulation of the ocean. The ocean also with the co-operation of the atmosphere, co-ordinates in maintaining the cycle of equilibrium of the nature. The very appearance and nature of the earth reveals that it has been so created that it may be fit for living beings to live on it.

If the size of the earth had been small, equal to that of moon, its diameter too could have been just one fourth. According to the findings available the power of gravity of the moon is six times less than that of the earth. If the earth had been as small as the moon, it's power of gravitation could also have been much less and it is known that the power of gravitation is the main factor in maintaining and preserving the atmosphere, water and mineral wealth. Any reduction in it disturbs the equilibrium. Any change in the ozonic layers of the atmosphere increases the quantity of heat so much that existence of life becomes difficult. Several problems would have arisen, if the diameter of the earth had just been doubled. In that event, the surface would have increased by four times and earth's gravitation multiplied, with the result that the atmosphere up to the height of sixteen hundred kilometers would have shrink and reduced. The pressure of atmospheric gases would have increased by 15 to 20 pounds per square inch, which would affect life adversely. Most of the areas would have been in the grip of severe cold like north and South Pole regions and life would have become difficult to live in. Biophysicist, Frank Allen of the Manitoba (Canada) University who has thrown sufficient light on the aforesaid facts has in his book the Evidence of God in Expanding Universe writes, "This earth has been created by some omnipotent power for some good purpose, so that living beings and vegetation may thrive.

If the size of our earth had been as big, as the sun and its capacity had remained intact, its power of gravity would have increased by 150 times. This would have resulted in reducing the height of atmosphere up to 4 miles only. In such a position vaporisation of water would have stopped. Then the weight of a living organism weighing 1lb. Could increase to 150 lbs and the size of the human beings, elephants, tigers would be reduced considerably”. Frank Allen is of the view that, “The intellectual capacity of such a small squirrel sized man would almost disappear. But the Supreme Power, who has protected the earth from all such calamities and created favorable conditions, has provided opportunities to all the beings to exist ". Not only size but distance from other planets has also great bearing on the creation of favorable conditions on the earth. For example, if the distance of the sun from the earth had been just doubled, the heat received from the sun would be reduced to one-fourth and the period of winter season would lengthen and such a condition will invite the ice age. If on the contrary, the distance of earth from the sun was reduced to half, the heat which is received from the sun would increase by four times. Accordingly the duration of seasons would be reduced to half. The earth will become so hot that creatures, trees, vegetations would all burn and turn into ashes.

The present size of the earth, its distance from the sun, its present speed of rotation and revolution are all favorable for the existence and subsistence of life. It is all due to these favorable conditions that human race is rejoicing with happiness and enjoying life by getting immense facilities. About the proposition laid down by the so called intellectuals that the world has been created by multitude of atoms, the famous philosopher, Francis Bacon had stated centuries back that " little scientific knowledge and philosophical bent leads men to atheism but serious analytic insight and philosophical attitude leads him to theism ". Hence one should think seriously before refusing the existence of the power which has created the universe. It is true that once a man develops exploratory foresight and goes on deep into matter, he will get much evidence about the invisible omnipotent power. And then although he may be a scientist, he would in the language of Thomas David Parkes, say - " I see a rule, a scheme, a purpose in all the visible universe around me. I find no basis in the belief that all the objects and the universe along with all its beings have been created all of a sudden by multitude of atoms. I see everywhere in each particle an empire of intellect and system. An intellect that is superb, unimaginable and imperceptible. I call this great intellect as God".

According to David Parkes, for a chemical scientist the prescribed periodical system of the elements should be the most important and attractive subject for study. According to the principles of chemical science, the water should be in gaseous state, keeping in view its general temperature and pressure, because this will be the finding according to the periodical table. The atomic weight of ammonia is 17 and it is in a gaseous state in the atmospheric pressure even at the temperature at minus 33 degree centigrade. According to the position of elements in the periodical table, Hydrogen Sulphide is closely related with water. Its atomic weight is 34 and even at minus 59 degree centigrade, it remains in a gaseous state. But surprisingly, even at ordinary temperature water always remains in a liquid state and it is so strange a phenomenon that it compels every intelligent person to think over it. This makes water the most useful commodity in earth. It is useful for trees, vegetation and living beings. It is quite likely that these special conditions different from other compounds have been created by the Creator in respect of water. If we go deeper, the importance of this special quality of water becomes clearer.

Three fourth of the surface of the earth is covered with water. This vast wealth of water accumulation has special contribution to the cycle of seasons and adjustment of the temperature. Apart from the elements described in the periodical table, if water had not its own separate qualities, quite different from other elements, much disorder would have been created in the atmospheric temperature and adjustment of the nature's cycle. There are several phenomena in this creation which puzzle the mind. The physical science can study and analyse their formation but no explanation is available about the creation of their necessary specialties, with respect to this earth. Solution and answer to this will have to be found in the thinking of David Thomas and similar pre-eminent scientists that- THIS ENTIRE UNIVERSE IS A PECULIAR ARTISTIC CREATION OF SOME SUPREMELY WISE AND SKILFUL ARTIST AND IT HAS BEEN CREATED FOR A PURPOSE. That supreme power is worthy of our praise and faith, and is laudable, and venerable. Man can have the good fortune of becoming one with Him by seeking His Grace.
